For decades, this now newly-renovated business center was a run-down liquor store called Martha Jane’s. As soon as the building went up for sale, we jumped at the opportunity to reimagine what neighborhood resource could exist in the space. Right at the corner of 15th and Colcord, The Colcord Center is perfectly positioned next to several of our other developments, including the Jubilee Theatre, World Cup Café and World Cup Fair Trade Market.
Our shopping center is home to Helados La Azteca #2, a dulceria, as well as Thrst. Eddy, the owner of Helados La Azteca #2, says this about his new coffee shop, “As a young Hispanic entrepreneur, I strive to bring Waco every ounce of my Hispanic culture. Lalo’s is not your ordinary American coffee shop. We want you to feel a small slice of Mexico when you drink your cafecito de olla.”
