New Volunteers
Ask any of our volunteers and they’ll attest—you volunteer with the intent to impact someone else, but oftentimes you end up being impacted even more. Don’t take our word for it, find out for yourself today by signing up to volunteer with us! In order to become a volunteer, there are three main steps to complete: completing an application, attending volunteer orientation, and submitting a background check.
Attend Volunteer Orientation: You will first need to sign up for a “New Volunteer Orientation.” At the orientation, you will learn about our mission, history, programs, and how to sign up for different volunteer opportunities.
Complete a Background Check (for volunteers 18+). After you register for orientation, you will receive an email prompting you to complete a background check through Backgrounds Online. Please note, there is an $8 fee to cover the cost.

Community Service
To inquire about completing court-ordered community service with Mission Waco, contact Jacob Palmer at [email protected] or call (254) 753-4900. Please note, you will be required to complete a volunteer application and background check, which has an $8 fee.
