THE CLOTHESLINE AND VOUCHER CENTER
Comfortable, clean clothing is among the four foundational physiological needs for human survival. By providing a resource through which local women can shop for affordable clothing, Mission Waco empowers them to find confidence in what they wear and feel good about their purchases.
Founded in 2003, the Clothesline offers gently-worn womens’ clothing and accessories. Since its founding, Mission Waco has seen the Clothesline’s sales double while our retail customer base has tripled. All proceeds benefit the Mission Waco’s Manna House and Substance Abuse and Recovery Program.
Once Mission Waco took over the Jubilee Center, despite the six “green-tagged” The Voucher Center offers clothing and small household items to adults who have been issued a voucher by Social Services at the Meyer Center. Those with a voucher can come in and redeem free clothing and household items. Located directly behind the Clothesline, the Voucher Center is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8–10 a.m.
