Creekside Community Village Serve Day

Creekside Community Village will be a transformative community, combining permanent supportive housing with life-giving community engagement. This community exists to empower our friends coming out of homelessness who long for a permanent place to call home. To learn more about Creekside Community Village, click here!

On Saturday October 4 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm we will host a service day for the community to join us as we continue to prepare the land! Potential projects could include landscaping, trash pickup, organizing and cleaning the homes!

DATE/TIME

October 4 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

• Please arrive promptly at 9:00 am as we will share some of the vision and purpose the Creekside Community Village.
• We will then assign folks to a wide range of projects that depend on what is needed as we get closer to that date. Projects could include lawncare, cleaning homes, picking up trash, etc.

FAMILIES

Families are welcome to join, but we ask that you only bring youth 13 years and older. In addition, youth who come to serve must come with a parent/ guardian.

LOCATION

We will meet at Creekside Community located at 3810 S. University Parks Dr. Waco, TX 76706

CLOTHING EXPECTATIONS

For clothing, please where closed toed shoes and clothes that you do not mind getting a little dirty! In addition, we recommend wearing pants due to tall grass and potential poison ivy. Please also avoid wearing clothes that have a political affiliation and strong opinion.

WHAT TO BRING!

• A positive attitude
• A heart full of compassion
• Water bottle
• Any items appropriate for weather: i.e. sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and jacket.

BATHROOMS

Please note that this is a worksite, the bathrooms onsite are portable toilets.

** Please note that orientation & background check are NOT required to participate in the the community service day. We do ask that you register ahead of time so we know how many folks to anticipate**
